Dr. Aubrey Kern earned her Bachelor’s in Pre-Physical Therapy in 2011 and Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014 both from the University of Dayton. She has been working in pelvic floor physical therapy since 2014. She earned her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) in May 2018. Aubrey spent the first 2 years of her career working in both outpatient orthopedics as well as women’s health. In 2016, she solely focused on women’s health and abdominopelvic dysfunction and began using Visceral Manipulation in her clinical practice. She is an International Alliance of Health Educators (IAHE) qualified teaching assistant for visceral manipulation. As the Director of Women’s Health at Orion Physical Therapy Specialists, Aubrey works actively within her community and with local professionals to expand education with regards to men and women’s abdominopelvic therapy. She presents annually for local Multiple Sclerosis, Interstitial Cystitis, Pregnancy/Postpartum, and Parkinson’s Disease support groups regarding pelvic physical therapy options. She has also presented at regional conferences including the Ohio Physical Therapy Association. In addition to clinical practice, she is passionate about educating the public and other clinicians regarding abdominopelvic dysfunction and the role of physical therapy as an effective treatment option.
Outside of work, Aubrey enjoys being outdoors, reading, gardening, and exercise. She lives in the southwest Dayton area with her husband and son.Back to team
