Dr. Shane Page received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Wright State University in 2007. He then continued his education at the University of Dayton and graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2010. While at UD, he focused his training and research in the Sports Medicine field. Two of his rotations were at nationally recognized sports facilities; D1 Sports Therapy in Columbus, Ohio, and Fischer Sports Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. While at these facilities, Dr. Page treated and trained multiple professional and division 1 athletes, some of which are still competing professionally in their respective sports. Along with Dr. Jessica Smith, Dr. Page’s Doctorate research project dealt with multi-factoral assessment of adolescent and collegiate athletes, primarily baseball players, and how their assessments compared with those of professional athletes. Soon after graduating, Dr. Page began his professional career in Columbus where he worked for Ohio Health in a sports based practice and specialized in return to play rehabilitation. In November of 2013, he joined the Orion team.
Currently, Dr. Page is working on completing his education to become board certified through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists as a Sports Certified Specialist (SCS). He is also Functional Movement Screen (FMS) certified. Dr. Page is also adjunct faculty with the University of Dayton’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program where he teaches in the Orthopedics Labs.
